Heartwood Nature Bathing
Connect with nature. Connect with yourself.
Nature bathing is a mindful way to support your health and wellbeing, connect with nature, and wash away the stresses of the modern world — no water necessary! Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, it is involves slowing down, and immersing yourself in nature in a conscious and contemplative way.
Heartwood’s experiences are led by certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide Monique Ross, in Brisbane/Meanjin and surrounds. Monique also teaches basket weaving and nature journaling workshops. She offers corporate wellbeing experiences and works with NDIS clients.
Let's wander, together, to a place of calm, clarity and connection.

Hi! I’m your guide, Monique
I feel honoured to do this simple and powerful work, which has profoundly transformed how I walk through the world, and taken me from burnout to a place of passion and purpose. I see my job as noticing and loving nature, and helping others do the same.
I believe Nature Bathing is the antidote to the sense of disconnection many people feel in the modern world, and can be a reliable partner as we navigate the uncertainty, stress and messiness that is life. I also believe it can lead us towards a more sustainable future; one where we take the action that is needed to save this planet. After all, we only fight for what we love.
“People say we’re all seeking a meaning for life. I think what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive.”
— Joseph Campbell
