What to expect on a walk

Your certified guide, Monique Ross, will help you to switch off and slow down, before leading you on a gentle walk where you immerse yourself in nature.

If you are joining a public group walk, you will meet at a predetermined location. The group size is a maximum of 10.

Your walk will begin with a quick introduction to Nature Bathing and the land. Working in partnership with nature, in a practice inspired by Shinrin-yoku, Monique will then offer a series of ‘invitations’ to help you slow down, awaken your senses, and explore and engage with nature.

These invitations are carefully crafted, and are simple and open so you can interpret them in the way that feels right to you. Between each invitation, participants come together to pause and share a few words.

Nature Bathing is a trauma-informed practice; nothing is compulsory and participants always have full agency over their bodies.

There is no ‘right’ experience to have. Guides have a motto: “The Forest is the therapist, the guide opens the doors.” Monique trusts that her partner, nature, will show up on the day with whatever it is you need.
